In partnership with

We’ve teamed up with training provider, Cabin Crew Wings, to offer one lucky winner a cabin crew training course, during the expo!

The two day course will give the winner a unique insight into the cabin crew profession, exploring all aspects of the role, including the hospitality, safety and security of passengers. If you’re serious about a career as cabin crew, this is the perfect opportunity to propel your knowledge and awareness, ready for that all important assessment day.

What does the course entail?

Day 1

Day 1 is a great way for acquiring awareness of the role; experience challenging and everyday scenarios, and gain insight into the skills you will need for the role. This will impress your interviewers and demonstrate your commitment and aptitude for a career as cabin crew.

Cabin Crew Wings will get you off the ground by meeting certified and experienced cabin crew trainers, who have all worked, or are still employed as crew, for a range of airlines.

Day 2

On day 2, you will learn how to pass the airline selection days with flying colours. This session will help you understand ‘behind the scenes’ of selection tests and how to get the most out of your interview performance.

The day will include plenty of practical exercises, so you will learn without even knowing it! The cabin crew trainers will be able to point out the best ways to answer questions and tackle the different tasks.

You will experience
  • Being on the other side of the PA system, making routine passenger announcements and learning what to say in an emergency.
  • Having a go at a real safety demo, including using equipment and giving instructions.
  • Real insights into airline life, the stories, the highs and what the lows might be.
  • Knowledge-boosting tips about the industry and aircraft (this will prove to interviewers that you’ve done your homework!)
  • Taking turns to try important drills and procedures, both day to day and how to cope in an emergency.
  • The basic skills you would need to save a life on board with our session on aviation first-aid, plus an insight into likely (and unlikely!) medical scenarios.
  • Behind-the-scenes on customer service and how to meet the airlines’ expectations.
  • Exploring real life scenarios with our experienced crew trainers, from planned to unplanned emergencies to difficult passengers and pilot incapacitation.
  • Learning what it’s really like behind the scenes with different airlines, and how to decide which routes and aircraft might be best for you.
  • The opportunity to get candid answers on lifestyle and travel, and how to get the most out of this unique career.
The benefits
  • Many students feel much more confident and inspired after the training! They love that they can go to their selection day with some realistic experience of the role.
  • The behind-the-scenes insights are incredibly helpful for getting you 100% ready to step into your cabin crew uniform and owning the aircraft aisle!
  • You will have extra experience to talk about during your interview, showing that you’ve done your homework and know what you can expect from the job, warts and all!
  • You will be able to show your commitment to the career by attending the training, demonstrating that you are keen to learn and proactive about going after what you want.
  • Above all, the training is fun! Cabin Crew Wings know it’s a big deal to learn new skills, so the team are the friendliest, most helpful and loveliest trainers you will meet!
The benefits
  • You will feel much more confident on your selection day knowing you have some experience of the different tests
  • You will know how to prepare exceptional answers for your application and interview
  • You will have had the chance to make any mistakes in a safe, supportive environment (and not at your selection day!)
  • You will be able to show your commitment to the job by attending the training
Day 2 will cover
  • What are airlines really looking for on the assessment day? (It might not be what you think!)
  • Brands and behaviour – are you a good match for your favourite airline?
  • The do’s and don’ts of your CV and application form – and how to avoid the most common 7 mistakes (Don’t forget to take your CV so you can check yours during the session!)
  • Latest interviewing methods and how to prepare show stopping answers to make your interviewers take notice
  • Practice of key customer service and passenger based scenarios – the routine, and the unexpected!
  • A mock selection day with group exercises, roleplays and presentations – have a go at these in a supportive and comfortable environment so you are totally prepared for the real thing
  • Psychometric tests – what they are, what you need to do, and how to get through them
  • Plenty of time to ask the trainers questions and have informal discussions in class, or in small groups
  • Invaluable, constructive feedback from the training team to help you get the very most out of the day, your performance, and tips on appearance
  • Find out how to be the first to get all the latest vacancies from a wide range of national and international airlines
  • Personal feedback on how you come across and how you could improve any areas you are less sure on

“Airlines often have as many as 3,000 applicants for one position, so they can afford to pick the cream of the crop.

We make sure our clients are able to impress recruiters from the very start by creating fantastic customer experiences, being an ambassador for an airlines brand and values, handling a range of emergencies at 30,000 feet, and delivering an outstanding interview on the assessment day.”
